Case Statement

Who We Are

The Watts 360 Foundation was born out of a simple yet profound conviction: that our community deserves to heal, grow, and thrive. Founded in the wake of George Floyd’s tragic death, Watts 360 stands as a beacon of hope in South Los Angeles, driven by the leadership of formerly incarcerated men who have returned home determined to rebuild what was once torn apart.

For over seven years, we have dedicated ourselves to uplifting our neighborhood—working hand in hand with our youth, empowering families, and building trust that transforms lives.

Why Our Work Matters

Watts has long been a community rich in culture and resilience, yet it also bears the scars of systemic neglect, violence, and poverty. Too many of our young people face cycles of incarceration, unemployment, and trauma. Our mission is to break these cycles—by providing tangible opportunities, mentorship, and unwavering support.

Because when we invest in our youth and give our returning citizens a chance to lead, we don’t just change individual lives—we change the future of an entire community.

What We Do

Watts 360 Foundation’s impact is visible in the streets of our neighborhood:

✅ Youth Programs & Mentorship – From our annual Father’s Day Juneteenth celebration with tournaments, free haircuts, and youth giveaways, to ongoing mentoring of boys and girls ages 10–18, we create safe, inspiring spaces where young people see their potential.

✅ Community Outreach & Relief – Whether it’s distributing hygiene kits to families displaced by fires, organizing back-to-school drives, or ensuring local residents have access to essential resources, we’re there when our community needs us most.

✅ Second Chance Leadership – We provide pathways for formerly incarcerated men to give back and reshape their narrative—standing not as statistics, but as leaders and protectors of our youth.

Why We Need You

Your support is critical. Our community’s needs are growing, and so must our capacity to meet them. With your investment, we can:
• Expand our youth mentorship and safe recreation programs.
• Increase outreach efforts to serve families impacted by hardship.
• Provide stipends and leadership training for volunteers—many of whom are returning citizens.
• Cover essential costs like event spaces, supplies, and transportation so we never have to say “we can’t help” when someone comes to us in need.

The Difference You Make

When you partner with Watts 360 Foundation, you’re doing more than writing a check. You’re giving a young person their first new pair of shoes, a father a reason to stand proud in front of his kids, a returning citizen the dignity of contributing meaningfully to his community.

You’re helping to turn “Thank you, Loaf—you saved me,” from just words into countless futures reimagined.
